Afghan consists of 5 panels of alternating Afghan Stitch and Filet Squares - 3 beginning and ending with Afghan Stitch; 2 beginning and ending with Filet Stitch.

Main color or Color A, is used to crochet all panels, joinings and borders.

Other colors are used for embroidery as indicated on embroidery charts.

Crochet Hooks: Size G for Filet Squares and 9 inch Afghan Hook size J for Afghan Stitch Squares or size you require to obtain gauge.

Gauge:
Size G hook - 3 blocks and 2 spaces or 2 blocks and 3 spaces = 2 inches; 3 rows = 2 inches.

Size J Afghan Hook - 4 stitches = 1 inch and 8 rows = 3 inches.

Each square should measure about 6 by 6 inches.
