Once I was walking around the city on my lunch break and saw these amazing knee high gladiator sandals in a shop window. The laces were a bit different from the ordinary and thought that these would have fit Angelina Jolie as Olympias in the movie Alexander. I had watched the movie a couple nights before. I went on to have my lunch.
Somehow the lacing didn’t leave my mind… and when I got approached by a yarn shop owner to design her yarns something, I knew right away that I wanted to do the sandals into socks!

Knitted toe up and with short row heel.

Only one skein needed. I highly suggest using Opal Uni Solid 6 ply it’s the softest sock yarn I’ve ever tried! It’s like walking on clouds!
