A quick and easy summer shell with lots of possibilities including directions for an optional shrug.

Knit in the round up to the armholes, this shell has minimal shaping and finishing. The front panel is optional if you prefer just stockinette stitch, but the pattern is easy enough to follow even if it is your first time making a textured pattern. There is very little else going on at the same time to confuse you. For the experienced knitter you will pick up the pattern very quickly, but it will have enough going on to keep you interested.

This pattern is written for sizes ranging from 32” to 50”.

The shrug is knit in a simple lace pattern and creates “sleeves” for the shell. The length is designed as ¾ length sleeves but can certainly be made longer or shorter.
