Sometimes it seems like such a shame to use a precious yarn to make a gauge swatch. This hat was born out of the desire to swatch for the Big Crush pullover and walk away with a useful finished object.

Finished hat measures: 20¼”/ 51.5 cm around at the fullest part and is 10½”/ 26.5cm deep to fit a small/ medium adult.

Hat is knit from the brim up, in the round.

Materials:
Fearless Feet Aran Tweed, 85% Superwash Merino Wool, 15% Tweed NEP, 183y/167m; 100g/3.5 oz.
• Cranberry (MC) - 24y/ 22m
• Oatmeal (CC) - 121y/ 111m

Smallest needles - US 6 (4mm) 16”/40cm circular or needle size smaller than medium needle; Medium needle - US 7 (4.5mm) 16”/40cm circular and double pointed needles or size necessary to obtain gauge; Largest needle - US 8 (5mm) 16”/40cm circular, or size larger than gauge needle; stitch marker; tapestry needle, pompom maker (optional).
