It wouldn’t be Christmas without the sound of a brass band blasting out Christmas carols on a cold wintery evening whilst everyone is busy Christmas shopping and the Brass Band Man Tea Cosy knitting pattern was inspired by this.

The main part of the tea cosy is a man dressed smartly in a suit with a cap on his head. You can see his little cheeks all billowed out as he blows into the enormously long instrument called a sousaphone.

I wanted to give the cosy a Christmas feel so around the back I have given the composition a little robin and I think it makes it look very sweet.

But it’s not just a Christmas tea cosy, brass bands and players of brass instruments play all year round and so the band man will have all year appeal.

The knitting pattern uses Stylecraft Special DK and the main part of the tea cosy is knitted with double thickness yarn to keep the teapot and the tea really hot.

The Brass Band Man tea cosy fits a medium sized tea pot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints.

The pattern will be available for digital download as soon as you have completed purchase, so you could start knitting, very soon!

This product is the knitting pattern only to make your own Brass Band Man tea cosy.
