NEW: The pattern now includes both the Apple Orchard 3-colour version AND the Christmas Forest 4-colour version.

Inspired by a napkin and a Japanese girl I met, this pattern just happened. I think of it as a forest of Candyfloss, hence the name Candyflorest!

The pattern is simple and repetitive, which makes for a fun and quick knit - and a little burst of joy each time a tree is born :-)

As an extra treat, I have included both the chart for the 3-colour option and the seasonal 4-colour option for those who like a challenge.

Size
The pattern is made with 72 sts, as I find that a good fit for most (at least female) feet. You can adjust the size by increasing or decreasing the needle size as you like.

Yardage by colour
MC: Approx. 30-50 g / 125-210 m (135-230 yards)
CC: Approx. 40-60 g / 170-250 m (185-275 yards)
Optional extra (guesstimate for 3-colour option):
CC2: Approx. 10-20 g /40-80 m (45-90 yards)

Needles
I prefer to knit socks usind double-pointed needles (DPN), but the pattern can of course be knit using magic loop needles (MLN) as well.
Simply exchange DPN 1+2 with MLN 1
and exchange DPN 3+4 with MLN 2
