The Deiá socks are knitted toe up with a short-row heel. The socks are started with Judy’s magic cast on and are best worked with the magic loop technique.

The Deiá socks’ most prominent feature is the intricate cable and lace pattern, which is surprisingly simple to knit and easy to memorise. Both chart and a written pattern is provided.

The heels are worked with German short rows, which are explained in this pattern.

The Deiá socks look best in solid or slightly variegated colors for the stitch pattern to show in its full glory.

The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.
