River rapids, thundering waterfalls and a clear mountain lake inspire the design details on this fun to make (and wear!) top.

This is a flattering design for many body types and can be worn as a summer tee top or as an elegant layer under a sweater or jacket.
What a fun way to construct a top!

Diamond Lake is worked top down in a nearly seamless manner, starting with the yoke and sleeves which are worked horizontally while capturing the essence of the river rapids in the lace design.

The neckline is worked as part of the yoke construction. Body stitches are picked up along the horizontal length of the yoke section and worked in the round.

The thundering waterfalls (three diamonds) cascade down the back and add a bit of excitement while working the body rounds.

Short rows shape the angled hemline that provides for longer side and back length and also magically creates an A-line shape. The only seams are the very short underarms of the cap sleeves.

Instructions are both charted and written.
