The Dolores socks are knitted toe up with a short-row heel. The socks are started with Judy’s magic cast on and are best worked with the magic loop technique. The Dolores socks’ most prominent feature is the intricate cable pattern, which is surprisingly simple to knit and easy to memorize. The heels are worked with German short rows, which are explained in this pattern. The Dolores socks look best in solid or slightly variegated colors for the stitch pattern to show in its full glory.
