Slipping stitches
Decreasing
Increasing
Yarn overs and backwards yarn overs
Twisted stitches (single and right twist and left twist worked over 2 stitches)
Icelandic bind-off (instructions given)

Sizes (measured above the thumb)
Small will fit hands measuring 7-8” around and the mitts are 6 1/2” long
Large will fit hands measuring 8-9” around and the mitts are 7” long

Materials
145 (175) yards of fingering-weight yarn for size S (L). Samples were knit in Blacker Yarns Swan 4-ply and Brooklyn Tweed Loft (both 100% non-superwash wool). For best results, avoid superwash wool and yarns that are not mostly wool
US 3/3.25 mm needles or size needed to obtain gauge in whatever configuration you prefer for small diameter knitting
Second set of needles for the thumb (dpns work well)
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
