Designed specifically for my sister-in-law, this easy to knit rectangular wrap can be extensively modified in width, length, and neck opening to flatter a number of body shapes. The directions and blocking dimensions are particularly suited to a 5’8” physique that is mildly pear-shaped.

Size
Directions are written for L. Modify width and/or length to create larger or smaller size.

Materials
7 skeins (553 yards) of Bulky (12 ply/7 wpi) weight yarn. Shown in Muench Yarns Fabu color #4311 M (a boucle yarn)

2 skeins (122 yards) of Aran (10 ply/8 wpi) weight yarn. Shown in Muench Yarns Touch Me color #3610

US size 9 (5.5mm) circular or long straight needles (or size needed to attain gauge)

Large button or decorative closure of choice (optional)

Wool or yarn needle

Gauge
16 stitches = 4” in stockinette after blocking
(Garment stretched 5” resulting in 29” width due to drape and weight of yarn used as well as the slightly more open knit fabric chosen.)

Finished L size after blocking:
29” x 46” open flat
29” x 33” folded into final shape.
