SUMMARY

The Henny Penny Cardigan is a unisex, top-down cardigan available in seven different adult sizes.
This cardigan is knitted in one piece, top-down with increases on the yoke. Short rows are worked at the top of the yoke to raise the back neck for a better fit. It offers cropped and regular body length options.

The cardigan is knitted in one piece and then cut open (steeked) at the front. You pick up and knit stitches for the frontbands at the end.

This cardigan is knit with mostly two colors at a time, making it easier to knit. Additional colors can be added later using the duplicate stitch technique.

Materials:

• Any Aran/Worsted/DK Weight yarn to achieve recommended gauge

I used 4-ply Yarn Drops Lima (65% wool, 35% alpaca) 109 yds/1.75 oz (100 m/50 g).

• US 8 (5.0mm) circular needles or other to achieve gauge.
• US 7 (4.5mm) circular needles for the rib
• Buttons 7x20mm
• Needle

18 sts and 24 rnds = 10 cm / 4” after blocking with main gauge needles

This cardigan is designed to be worn with approximately 10-22in/ 25-55 cm of positive ease; however, this is just a guide. Some people prefer a closer fit; do not be afraid to select an option that provides somewhat less than the suggested ease according to your own preferences.
