Designed to match Ella Gordon’s Hesti Hat in Volume 1, these mitts are knitted in the round with corrugated ribbing and an afterthought thumb.

One size; to fit small/medium adult hands with a circumference of 17.75-19cm / 7-7.5 inches.

MATERIALS
Jamieson & Smith 2ply Jumper Weight (2ply equivalent to a 4ply/ fingering weight; 100% Real Shetland Wool; 115m / 125 yds per 25g ball)
1 x 25g ball each in:
Yarn A: FC44 brown
Yarn B: FC38 burnt orange
Yarn C: FC47 denim blue
Yarn D: 121 marled yellow
Yarn E: 202 fawn

2.5mm / US#1-2 DPNs or needles for your preferred method of working small circumferences
3mm / US#2-3 DPNs or needles for your preferred method of working small circumferences
Stitch marker
2 lengths of smooth waste yarn for afterthought thumb placement
Tapestry needle

TENSION
34 stitches and 32 rounds to 10cm over colourwork using 3mm needles, after blocking.
Please check your tension carefully and adjust your needle size accordingly.

PATTERN NOTES
These fingerless mitts start with a corrugated twisted rib and are knit in the round with an afterthought thumb. After completing the main knitting, you remove the waste yarn and pick up the stitches for the thumb.
