Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.

Pattern for a blanket featuring a hole in the ground using the overlay mosaic crochet tecnique. The pattern does not teach the tecnique itself.

It contains both chart (full chart, and divided into sections to make it easier to read and print) and a written pattern.

Pattern is 302 stitches across including border stitches, and 201 rows high. It makes for a fairly big blanket. Be warned though, if you haven’t made a blanket from the long side before it seems to go really slow in the beginning. Just remind yourself that you are actually making more of the pattern per row than what you are used to.
