Skill Level: Easy

Originally designed for the 2012 Calendar of Hope, month of August, the pattern has been reformatted for individual download with added positive and negative charts. Make a single scoop dishcloth or follow the repeat for a multi-scoop towel/bar mop. Worked in mosaic garter stitch, just one strand works every two rows while the other strand rests at the edge. Gauge and dimensions are provided with a medium weight cotton. Choose colors that contrast well. Try your camera’s “black & white” setting to look at your yarns in grayscale and check the contrast between your selection(s). The pattern provides full written instructions with (optional) positive and negative charts for making useful household linens and gifts!

Sample Measurements (unblocked):
Width: 8”/20 cm
Height: 7.5”/19 cm (without optional repeats)

The revised written-pattern with added mosaic knitting charts is available as a Ravelry download. The original written-pattern is found in the Calendar of Hope (2012 month of August).
