Japanese Blossoms Cardigan

Besondere Designelemente dieses zeitlosen Jäckchens sind:
Die über die Schultern hinaus verlängerten Vorderteile, die gleichzeitig den oberen Bereich des Rückenteils bilden sowie die geschwungene Bordüre an der unteren Kante und an den Ärmeln.
Der schön geformte V-Ausschnitt mit I-Cord Rand rundet das Design ab.
Auch wenn die verwendeten Techniken in der Anleitung beschrieben werden, sind Strickkenntnisse notwendig.

Größe:
Der abgebildete Cardigan ist in Damen Größe 36 (S) gestrickt.
Mit Nadel 3.5 mm und etwas dickerem Garn gearbeitet, entspricht dieses Modell Größe 38/40 (M).

Garn:
Schmuse Yak von Bohei, 2 Stränge à 100 g in Farbe grün.
(Ich hatte nur noch wenige Meter übrig!)
Benötigte LL der abgebildeten Jacke: ca. 820 m.

Nadeln:
1 Rundstricknadel 3.25mm, 80 cm
3 Nadeln eines Nadelspiels 3.25mm

Maschenprobe mit Nadel 3.25mm:
Grundmuster: 28 M und 40 R = 10 mal 10 cm

Verwendete Techniken (in Anleitung beschrieben):
Maschenanschlag auf altnorwegische Art, Kordelanschlag,
I-Cord Rand, verkürzte Reihen, Knopflöcher, Steppstich, Maschenstich, Matratzenstich

The distinctive design features of this timeless cardigan are:
The front panels that extend beyond the shoulder and also form the upper part of the back piece, the scalloped border along the bottom edge and on the sleeves and last but not least the beautifully shaped V-neck with an I-cord edge.

Even though the techniques used are described in the pattern, knitting skills are required.

Size:
The pictured cardigan is knitted in german women’s size 36 (S).
The pattern includes tips where the individual knits, starting from german size 36, can be adapted to fit your own measurements.
Knitted with 3.5 mm needle and slighty thicker yarn it corresponds to size 38/40 (M).

Yarns of the pictured cardigan:
Schmuse Yak from Bohei, 2 skeins each 100 g in colour green.
(I only had a few meters left!)
Required running length of the cardigan shown: 820 m.

Needles:
Size U.S. 3” (3.25mm) circular needles 32” (80cm) and
1 set U.S. 3” (3.25mm) of double-pointed (dpn) for casting off

Stitch gauge with needle 3”:
Basic pattern (Stockinette Stitch):
28 sts and 40 rows make 4” (10 cm)

Techniques used (described in instructions):
Old Norwegian Cast-On, Cable Cast-On, shortened rows,
I-cord edge, One-Row buttonholes, backstitches,
Kitchener Stitch, Mattress Seam
