What lovely silk stockings! A family heirloom, sure to please either a bride or for a formal or even an everyday work week. These long silk stockings will be a hit with the wearer and admirer. Kits are available here.

SUPPLIES
Yarn: Yarn Fairy 100% Silk, 1000 yards per 100 grams, undyed or any pale.
Needle: Size 00/1.75mm and 1/2.25mm – 32 inch circular, double pointed needles in size , cable needle and tapestry needle for silk and elastic
Hook US 16/.06mm for placement method of beading can be found here ONLY hook to work with 11/0 beads, other manufacturers will break the bead
Beads: Transparent AB seed beads size 11/0 qty, 418 and size 8/0 qty 160
Silk Ribbon: 2.5 yards of ½ inch silk ribbon
Elastic: 2 yards of elastic beading string Beadalon.com .5mm, clear

Gauge: 34 stitches, 56 rows over 4 inches, size 00/1.75mm needles
25 stitches, 40 rows over 4 inches, size 1 /2.25mm needles over stockinette stitch, blocked.
Gauge is crucial to this project.

Pattern is worked and charted for size 7 over 68 stitches, to change size work below numbers:
Size 9/10 work on 72 sts
Size 11/12 Work on 76 sts
Numbers are given at each increase and it’s a simple matter of adding plain knit sts to left and right of chart. If you are comfortable with that, then these are for you.
