This pullover is named for the main character in the Daugher of Smoke and Bones trilogy. Karou morphs from a talented yet mysterious art student with bright blue hair into a fierce yet vunerable leader who bravely fights for her people, always putting others before herself. She quickly became a strong female character I greatly admire, so naming a design after her was a no-brainer.

The Karou pullover is knit from the bottom-up seamlessly in the round to the under arm, at which point
the front and the back are separated and worked flat. The sleeves and the front of the sweater features an easy-to-memorize eyelet lace motif worked in a bold contrast color. The set-in sleeves are worked seamlessly from the top down using short rows to shape the sleeve caps. Lace is charted only.
