These summery bracelets are a quick project to use up some yarn scraps. The pattern utilises the curling of stockinette stitch to create a convex cuff. The cuff is then decorated by weaving in yarn scraps.

The cuff is knit with cotton or linen for durability and wearability. You can use any yarn or for the weaving part: solid or multicolour, handspun, metallic etc. You can also embellish with beads, sequins or other findings. For best results, the weaving yarn should be the same thickness or thicker than the cuff yarn.

This pattern includes stitch counts for fingering and DK weight yarns, but you can use practically any weight, just adjust the stitch count accordingly.

Skills needed: knitting in the round, weaving in yarn ends

Yarn:

  • 20 metres of either fingering or DK weight cotton or linen for cuff.
  • A total of about 5 metres of scrap yarn for decorations.

Needles and notions:
2.25 mm (fingering) / 3.00 mm (DK) DPNs, darning needle
