I was writing this pattern and my husband looked over and said it looked like something Danaeris from Game of Thrones would wear, so of course I had to call it Kaleesi!
(Sorry for those of you who are not familiar with the show. This woman is the “Mother of Dragons”)

This pretty shawlette uses some very easy short rows to create the beautiful fan shapes at the edges.
It looks like a very difficult pattern, but is REALLY EASY to memorize! Once you get the hang of the short row, it goes so quickly! This pattern was one of the most popular kits from Make Me Kits.

Now you can make it with whichever yarns you like! Basically you need about 250 yards of a color-changing fingering weight, and another 250 yards of a solid color that can be fingering or as heavy as sport weight.

You do not need to count stitches for this pattern! No purling! Seriously, you get a magnificent finished product and people will think you are a knitting genius.

Finished size is minimally 12” by 68” and curves gracefully, but you can make it larger by continuing in pattern until it is as wide and long as you like.
