Additional Notes:

  • This pattern is written in US crochet terminology
  • We will crochet in the round. Do not add an extra stitch before starting a new round!
  • For the legs, I used wire on the inside to keep its structure. If you would like to make a Klevin without wires inside, know that his legs will end up floppy and will not be able to stand. Wire instructions will be indicated with $ $. If you opted for no wires, please feel free to skip these sections.
  • Some yarn has more options for yarn weight because the yarn I used for those did not have a numerical weight number. Also traditionally, the Glyphid Crassus Detonator is the gold version of the Bulk Detonator, but I just used yarn I had on hand, hence the rust/orange-colored yarn instead of gold-colored yarn.
  • $ I used random wires I had on hand. You can buy wire or get creative (e.g. the wire backing of a notebook, the handle on a Chinese take-out box, etc.). Pipe cleaners could possibly work as well if folded in half for extra support. $
  • $ If you use a full coil of wire, DO NOT pre-cut the wire into segments. Just follow the instructions within the pattern and whenever you are done with a leg, cut off the wire such that there is enough left at the end to bend a rounded-end. $
  • Directional terms, like right and left, are in reference to when you view Klevin facing towards you (i.e. it’s your right and left, not Klevin’s).
