A knitting pattern for a basic close-fitting beanie hat in 7 sizes, to fit a newborn baby right up to adult size, plus instructions to make it into either a koala or a panda hat.

There are 2 sizes of ears, noses and panda’s “eye spots’ to fit the size of beanie you are making. Also a choice of 2 simple hem styles.

This is a written pattern for a hat made on 2 needles with a back seam, using any smooth 8 ply / DK yarn.

The basic hat pattern is the same for either the koala or the panda and can also be used as a simple stocking stitch beanie pattern without the animal features.

The Australian bushfire fundraising campaign, for aiding affected wildlife, has now ended.
In total, the 6 patterns involved raised AU$1,610 – a fantastic result!
Thank you to everyone who contributed by purchasing a pattern.❤️
