Mariam is named after one of my daughters who is as flowery and pink and purple as you can dream. This shawl, knit top down in a rounded triangle shape, uses texture and lace to create a floral design. This is a large, cozy piece that does not sacrifice delicacy for warmth. The texture is simple to memorize and the lace pattern is uncomplicated, making this a relaxing project for an experienced knitter, or an excellent choice for a first shawl. Make in two colors or one, with or without a beaded edging.

I have included a download of the charts by themselves with the purchase of the pattern for folks who want to be able to see it larger than life.
