These socks have an unusual pattern that shows the different coloured strands in groups, reminiscent of meadow flowers. Designed to show off that wonderfully pretty, multicoloured sock yarn that you just couldn’t resist!

The pattern begins with an easy provisional cast-on, at the ball of the foot, to work the toe on two needles, before continuing with 4 dpns or 2 circulars. The short rows are simple, with no ”wrap and turns”.
If you like toe-up socks, but are not sure about magic cast-ons – try these instead.

The top edge is a decorative scallop of “flower bunches”.

Both stitch patterns used are explained in full, with photos and youtube links.
