24 stitches and 36 rows = four inches in garter stitch

Notes:

This lovely scalloped vest is gloriously feminine, and using a self striping sock yarn makes it playful as well. It is knit flat and all in one piece, with garter stitch plackets and button holes to close the front. The lace pattern for the skirt is simple, repetitive, and a good way to build your lace skills. Choose some fun ¼ inch buttons to finish this off.

Sized for a 1:4 (1:3) sized doll. To make this pattern for a smaller doll, try using lace or cobweb weight yarn, and size 2 or 3 needles.
