This pattern was designed for Darn Knit Anyway’s Darn Yarn Club December 2013.

Once Beth saw the ceramic rooster cookie jar that was the inspiration for the yarn color, she knew she just had to incorporate some chicken-ish elements into the design of this sock. A decorative cast on brings to mind a cockscomb and a stitch motif up the leg that brings to mind chicken feathers!

As for the cabling in the cuff well, all good socks have some cables, right?
