A great pattern for handspun and handpainted medium-bulky to bulky yarns. Ridges add the right amount of texture to bring out the great colors of multi-colored yarns, while gentle ribbing allows the hat to stretch and comfortably fit most sizes. And with a happy I-cord stem on top! Wear the Pinecone Hat pulled down over your ears to keep them toasty warm.

Designed for the advanced beginner.

The pattern is written for an adult-size hat, but is easily adaptable to make a child-size hat.

Thank you to Allison, my knitting buddy who helped test the pattern and is allowing me to include her hat photo in the pattern. Also thanks to my little man for being such a cute critter in the hat his Mama made for him. =)
