The hat has a ribbed brim that can be folded up for extra warmth, or unfolded for a slouchy look. It was designed to be simple enough to knit as your very first hat, without sacrificing a good fit.

Sizes: 14”, 16”, 18” (20”, 22”, 24”)
Standard sizing charts recommend the above sizes for infants, toddlers, children/youth (small adult, medium adult, large adult) but PLEASE measure the head circumference of the recipient in order to ensure a good fit.

Skills required to complete the hat:
Joining in the round - you will use circular needles, and double pointed needles for the decrease section at the top of the hat
Alternating between knit and purl (ribbing)
Knit two together (the simplest kind of decrease)
