I love the simplicity of a poppy. I love the exquisite variations in colour. I love the French word for poppy - un coquelicot! It’s also a very special symbol of Remembrance.

I originally designed these poppies as stemmed flowers for a vase, but they also make a very pretty brooch, so I have included instructions to make both options in the pattern.

Only basic skills are required including forming magic rings, SC, HDC, DC and TR (US Crochet Terms); the tutorial gives full instructions as well as images. Details for all the materials I used are also noted on the pattern but Ask a Question if you’d like to know more.

The PDF pattern is an instant download and once you get started I’m here to help if you need it.
