Pumpkin Beanie
I’ve seen these pumpkin beanie patterns everywhere, but most of them are knit. So I wanted to create something similar in crochet, and that’s when this pattern came alive. The top stem portion is very forgiving, so play around and customize it however you’d like. Enjoy making!
It’s a fairly simple pattern, but there are some parts that can be overlooked (such as the tension of your yarn when you switch colors or missing the last st in each row as the fabric curls over).
There are 9 sizes available (preemie, newborn, 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, toddler, child, adult small, adult large) so you can make it for anyone you know.
I use Lion Brand Color Made Easy, but it can be easily made with any size 5 bulky yarn including Petite Wool or Soft & Sleek Chunky. You’ll need 2 colors, one for the pumpkin and one for the stem.
