Punkaharju Cardigan is a relaxed, open front cardigan that is worked seamlessly from the top down. Starting with an i-cord from shoulder to shoulder, then picking up stitches from the i-cord for the fronts and back which are then combined underarm. Neckline has a V-shape that is created with eyelet increases. The hem and cuff ribbing feature a leaf pattern (both charted and written instructions included). The fronts are finished by picking up sts for facings that are worked in ribbing and sewn on the inside of the cardigan, creating a neat, polished look. The cardigan is worked holding a strand of merino single and a strand of silk mohair yarn together, which makes it incredibly soft – a cardigan you want to wear day and night.
