UPDATE as of 2/5/2019: The improved, 12” version of this square is now available in my Etsy shop.

A colorful square for afghans, blankets, throws, shawls, and dishcloths. This pattern employs the moss stitch (aka linen stitch or granite stitch) and is worked from the center out.

The method used for joining rounds in this pattern yields a seam that is nearly invisible.

The pattern includes three versions: single color, two color, and rainbow (multi-color). There are separate instructions for each version.

There are links in the pattern to free video tutorials that demonstrate all the steps to achieve the two-color square, including how to finish the last corner. You may also view this free video on my YouTube channel to see the updated corner technique, starting at 2:38.

The pattern has been thoroughly tested and professionally edited.

PATTERN CLARIFICATION: On page 2, in the blue box, first sentence of third paragraph should read, “Insert yarn needle from front to back under back loop only through last stitch of round, from which yarn emerges.”
