I hate plastic bags from the grocery store or other retail shops! I try my best to recycle and reuse, but they still drive me crazy. I have started carrying a bigger purse and if I make a small purchase, I just stuff it in there rather than take another bag. Then I started losing small items in the bottom of my purse, so I decided to make myself a crochet reusable shopping bag that I could put in my purse or car and not have to get yet another plastic bag!

This crochet reusable shopping bag is smaller than most and meant for quick trips to the drugstore or to just pick up a few things. It isn’t meant for gallons of milk or cartons of eggs! Just the few little items we have to run in and get on our way home or at lunch. This bag will keep them separate and allow you to say “No, thank you” when they start to stick your stuff in a plastic bag. It is made in all cotton yarn, so it will handle being washed and still look great. It is easy to fold or scrunch up and stick in your purse or glove box. You can take it to the library to pick up a few books too!

I decided to use two colors just to make it cuter for me! You can use all one color or even a mix of colors. Really, whatever you have on hand in cotton will work great.
