This semi-circle shawl uses the construction of a Half-Pi Shawl from Elizabeth Zimmermann, where the diameter of the shawl doubles, as does the circumference. With the passing of Angela Lansbury, back in October 2022, this colour way was inspired by her iconic character of Mrs. Potts, the teapot, from Beauty and the Beast. As soon as I saw this yarn, a shawl idea came to mind. I envisioned something simple, yet elegant. Nothing too fancy for the character of Mrs. Potts. A combination of the Rose stitch, a textured stitch, with Rosebud Eyelid Lace creates a beautiful shawl that is meditative to knit, while being simple, yet elegant.
