This version of the pattern is English. This pattern tells the story of King Olav II who became Saint Olav. He was killed at the battle of Stiklestad in 1030.
He tried to unite the country of Norway and introduce
Christianity. More of the story can be found on my blog http://norskneedlework.blogspot.com
The sweater is knit with Finullgarn in the round with steeks.
It has a front plackett with pewter clasps.
Full, clear charts and written instruction is included.
The back is slightly different in the motifs than the front
and includes the words across the top in Norwegian: Heilag
Olav og Hans Menn 1030.(Saint Olav and His Men 1030.)
