I <3 this beanie. I’ve been toying with making a slouchy had for a while now, but I did not like the bulky feel to them or they were too long. I created the perfect size!

The inspiration for this slouch stems from the mighty Flint Ridge caves (They are the longest cave system in North America) and the giant Sequoias. The Sequoias are the tallest, most beautiful trees in the world. I envision hiking trails wearing this beauty.

I hope you enjoy this pattern.

Yarns: Samples are created with Vanna’s Choice and Mandala Chimera, another option is below.
Vanna’s Choice by Lion Brand, Wheat (use I hook & 2 skeins or 320 yards) or I love This Yarn in Ivory Tweed (250 yards) (use H hook & 1 skein)

Sizing: One size fits most. This hat fits a size 22” head perfectly. Increase or decrease by maintaining an even number.

Fits ADULT 22” average head, with TODDLER/CHILD size instructions as well :).

Add some flair! – Add a contrasting color or use an Ombre yarn – Just remember to adjust hook size if you use anything other than worsted weight yarn

The ivory yarn is in Vanna’s Choice and the colored beanie is in Mandala Chimera.

I hope you enjoy this easy pattern and thanks for stopping by!
