The hat & mitts begin with broad rib, moving to a decorative slipped stitch, reminiscent of plantation shutters.
The hat is flat-topped with a spoke shaped decrease.
The mitts have a panel of pattern, mirrored arched gussets and end with bands of pattern.
The pattern is written with a tubular cast-on for both items and Elizabeth Zimmermann’s sewn bind off for the mitt top & thumb, but you my begin and end as you please.
Each piece, the hat or the set of mitts, uses about 3/4 of the skein.

You will adore working with this beautiful yarn, and will reach for your hat & mitts again and again.
