Curl up in your favorite chair, your favorite beverage and knit this pattern during a rainy weekend… the cable pattern will keep you just enough engaged without destracting you from watching your favorite movie - otherwise this simple sock pattern is all about ease and comfort.

Those socks, shown here in ladies’ size 8, knit up quickly on size 6.5 mm (US 10.5) needles.

They are knit from the top down to the toes, with a classic heel construction.

The pattern is very easy, simple ribbing alternates with simple cables, it is essential however that you knit this pattern with 5 double pointed needles as it will make the pattern set up much easier.

The pattern can easily be adjusted for other sizes as well.

It is especially designed to showcase hand-spun yarn but can be knit up just as well using commercial yarn that fits the profile.

I used about 3 ounces (about 200/250 yds) of my lace-weight hand-spun yarn, held double.

Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl, cabling, decreasing, picking up stitches
