Pattern notes
Beginning with a provisional cast on at the centre back, this skirt is worked all in one piece, from side to side, with short row shaping, and a braided slipped stitch edge around the hem. After the fabric of the skirt has been knitted, the back seam is joined with a three needle bind off. A long i-cord is knitted and, after pinning the cord in place around the waistband, the top of the skirt is turned in to form a facing which is stitched down neatly, leaving a small opening for the i-cord at the back seam. Designed to sit at high-hip, the skirt’s waistband can be drawn in for a comfortable fit, with the i-cord tied and worn inside.
