COLOUR BLOCK BEANIE

A classic beanie for babies and toddlers with simple colour block. Complete with a rib stitch roll up rim for keeping little ears warm and toasty.

The beanie is worked flat on straight needles. It’s worked from the bottom up, so the rim is worked first in rib stitch on the smaller needles. The body is worked next on the bigger needles and then decreases are worked to shape the crown. The beanie is then seamed together to finish.

(You can adapt the pattern to knit in the round by casting on two less stitches and omitting the k1 on each side of the crown shaping decrease rows)
