On the heels of my other Doctor Who inspired sock patterns (Rescue Me, Chin Boy, and Show Me the Stars, Socks For Ten, Spoilers Socks, & Come Along Pond Socks), I am super excited to have collaborated with Julia of Pandia’s Jewels on a series of 3 more Doctor Who inspired sock patterns. This third pattern is inspired by the super mysterious Doctor Who companion, Clara Oswald.

These socks are mirror images of each other. The cable on the outside of each sock is reminiscent of the Doctor’s timeline which Clara enters in the episode, The Name of the Doctor. The main design element is appropriate for the yarn colourway as it invokes the image of the tops of soufflés which Clara is known for making in the episode, Asylum of the Daleks.

So grab your needles and let’s knit up some soufflés! Happy Knitting!

These socks are knit using the magic loop method (although the purchaser could easily adapt it for two circulars or double points).

A loose cast-on such as the German Twisted Cast-On and the Kitchner stitch to graft the toe are used in this pattern.

The knitter needs to be comfortable with the following techniques: knit, purl, Ktbl, K2tog, ssk, cables, and wrap and turn (short rows). Instructions for all these techniques are included in the pattern.

This pattern includes instructions in both written and chart forms for 56 stitch, 64 stitch, and 72 stitch socks.

I’d like to express my immense gratitude to the creators of Doctor Who for their entertaining work. This design would never have been possible without their inspiration.

Huge thanks to my amazing test knitters: Andrea (angeiship), Ashleah (a1dawen), Carly (BunnyLover), Cristy (cristyray), Julee (CroJulee), and Tracy (phoenixfire). ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
