The Star Sign Cowl was designed for Up North Yarn’s 2025 Zodiac Yarn Advent.
It is a tubular style cowl that is fun to knit and a delight to wear. The cowl begins with a provisional cast on and is knit in a tube. Each section represents one of the zodiac calendar’s signs. The sections are then linked with a fun striping section. After knitting through the zodiac calendar, the ends are grafted together to create a beautiful, warm cowl.

The cowl uses portions of one 50 gram fingering weight skein and twelve 20 gram mini skeins. The cowl is knit on a U.S. size 5, 16” circular needle.

Note: Full color photos will be released in December 2025 as those who purchased Up North Yarn’s Zodiac Advent receive their yarn.
