The Sunshine Charlotte Blanket is a simple, textured baby blanket, designed in honor of my daughter Charlotte, who lost her fight to cancer last summer. I have featured it in the colors of childhood cancer--yellow--and brain cancer--gray--but you are welcome to use whatever colors you choose. This pattern uses basic stitches in two repeated row patterns and provides an opportunity for advanced beginners to practice front- and back-post stitches.

Gauge is not important, as you can make the blanket as wide as you want. If you wish to add more stripes or change the number of stripes, that is easy, as long as you always start a new color change with Row B and follow it with an odd number of Row A.
