Takala hat begins at the crown, when the crown increases are completed the body is cast on and knit around the hat. The cable body panel is attached as you go leaving minimal finishing at the end of the knitting.
Takala is designed for a comfortable fit.
The pattern is suitable for using small amounts of complementary colours, with approximately, one third of the yarn required for the crown and two thirds for the body of the hat.
