The first pattern in the Redux Collection, Takeda is inspired by traditional Japanese garments. Originally published in 2005, The Takeda pattern has been revised and updated. PDF pattern is 20 pages with complete charts and technique directions for this two-color stranded, circular garment.

Designed to have a relaxed and slightly oversized fit, wearing Takeda crossed in the front will reduce the finished size by approx. 2.5”

Finished Sizes:
Circumference / Length
Size A: 45” / 29.5”
Size B: 49” / 32”
Size C: 54” / 34.5”

Sizing Notes: The size of the jacket is determined by the needle size -- the larger sizes are made using larger needles. For this reason, doing a gauge swatch is very important!

Takeda is knit in the round using color pattern charts with steeks for the front and armhole opening. Sleeves are knit circularly from the top down. Borders and front facing are faced and hemmed.

Pattern includes extensive technique instructions for circular/steeked construction, Cheryl’s Two-color Stranded Knitting Primer and Handwashing Guide.
