This cardigan has a classic, timeless silhouette with a simple cable stitch pattern. The cable stitches are unusual in that they are created with garter stitch in a field of stocking stitch. The stitch pattern is written in text and is memorized by any knitter quickly as the ten row repeat has only three different rows. The bands are integrated with the overall design and flow up with no obvious border at the bottom edge. The sleeve is a classic set in version. All sections are worked bottom up. Optional instructions have been included for waist shaping.
