I am fascinated with how Trailing Ivy works its path around a wooden trellis panel, delicately entwining itself to become one with the structure. This was the inspiration for my Twisting Ivy sock pattern.

A simple cable works its way through an eyelet mesh giving the socks some easily achievable ‘wow factor’. The short pattern repeat and alternate rest rows make the pattern quickly memorable, these little pretties will be flying off your needles in no time at all.

These cuff down, heel flap and gusset socks look best when knitted in any solid, semi solid or tonal colour 4ply sock yarn. I have used Eden Cottage Yarns Hayton 4ply, for a luxury sock. Slip them on after a nice soak in the bath and curl up with your knitting…. Bliss. Feeling bold, wear them with a pair of Mary Janes or Brogues and wait for the compliments.

The pattern has both charted and written instructions (including the cuffs). It has been tech edited to ensure your knitting time is as stress free as I can make it.

The stitch pattern has a great amount of stretch, so each size will fit a wide variety of feet whilst maintaining its pretty yet still leg hugging form.

The finished foot circumference of these socks are 19cm/7.5” (S), 21.5cm/8.5” (M), 24cm/9.5” (L).
