“Tystnad” is Swedish for “silence”. When I think of silence I imagine a Swedish winter landscape: all is covered in snow. Nature holds its breath and I would not want to disturb it. To feel comfortably warm despite the cold, I need a cosy shawl to wrap around me.

Materials:
• approx. 300g “Silbergrau” by Kunschtwerk (100% Merino extra fine, 100g/200m (220yds))
• Circular needles 7 mm (US 10,5 should be ok, too)

Gauge:
Gauge is not essential but please consider that the thicker the yarn and the bigger the needles the bigger your shawl will become.

Construction:
This shawl is knit flat from the right-hand side corner to the left-hand side border. The shape is retained by increases at the beginning and decreases at the end of the RS rows.

„Tystnad“ ist schwedisch und bedeutet „Stille“. Wenn ich an Stille denke, habe ich eine schwedische Winterlandschaft vor Augen: Alles ist mit Schnee bedeckt. Die Natur nimmt sich eine Auszeit und ich will diese nicht stören. Deshalb bewege ich mich sehr langsam und leise durch die schlafende Landschaft. Um es dabei angenehm warm zu haben, brauche ich einen kuscheligen Schal, in den ich mich mollig einwickeln kann.

Material:
• Ca. 300g „Silbergrau“ von Kunschtwerk (Schurwolle (Merino extrafine), Lauflänge 200m auf 100g)
• (Rund-)Stricknadeln Nr. 7
• Evtl. 1 Maschenmarkierer

Maschenprobe:
Die Maschenprobe ist nicht unbedingt notwendig, da es bei einem Tuch nicht unbedingt auf genaue Passform ankommt. Grundsätzlich gilt aber: Je dicker das Garn und je größer die Nadelstärke, umso größer wird das Tuch!

Konstruktion:
Dieses Tuch wird vom rechten Eck zum linken Rand gestrickt. Die Form des Tuches ergibt sich durch die Zu- und Abnahmen an den Rändern in den Hinreihen.
