The shawl begins at the top center and is worked outwards to the border. The main section is worked in a lace stitch pattern. The cabled border is worked in the contrasting color. The instructions are written out and charted.

Size
One: approx. 152.5 cm/60” wide and 56 cm/22” long at center spine.

Yarn
Two colors, 1 skein each, of Knit by Numbers 4ply by John Arbon Textiles (100% Pure Falklands Merino Wool; 400m/440y per 100g).
Shown in colors: MC – 61; CC – 57.
Or 2 colors of any other fingering weight yarn with similar yardage, which gives you the correct gauge.

Needles
3.50 mm/US #4 circular needle (100 cm/40” long).
3.75 mm/US #5 circular needle (100 cm/40” long).

Other
4 stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving.

Gauge
24 sts and 40 rows = 10 cm/4” in Garter st measured flat after wet blocking.
The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.
