It won’t surprise anyone who knows me even a wee bit that I adore the Gilmore Girls. From the fast paced talking to the coffee love to the mom/daughter relationship, how could I not love them?

I partnered with Bogga of Knitting in France to pair up my sock pattern with her ten colour self-striping yarn (each colour stripe represents a different character - Lorelai – pink, Luke – blue, Rory –burgundy, Lane – purple, Dean – green, Jess – black, Christopher – red, Emily – powdery blue, Richard – brown, Logan – cream).

The Design - The pattern is a winding lace design that makes me think of the relationship journey Lorelai & Rory have had. This design reminds me of the theme song’s words “Where You Lead, I Will Follow” thus the pattern name.

Grab your yarn, needles, & coffee & set your Netflix for binge-watching Gilmore Girls. Happy Knitting!

These socks are knit using the magic loop method (although the purchaser could easily adapt it for two circulars or double points).

This pattern includes toe-up instructions.

Judy’s Magic Cast On and Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off are used in this pattern.

The knitter needs to be comfortable with the following techniques: knit, purl, ktbl, k2tog, k3tog, ssk, M1R, M1L, W+T, slipping stitches, & passing slipped stitches over. Instructions for all these techniques are included in the pattern. In addition, a video tutorial for the shadow wrap technique of W+T for short rows has been recorded by the designer.

This pattern includes instructions in both written and chart forms for 56 stitch, 64 stitch, and 72 stitch socks.

I’d like to express my immense gratitude to the creators of Gilmore Girls for their entertaining work. This design would never have been possible without their inspiration.

Huge thanks to my amazing test knitters: Amanda (littlepanda518), Andrea (angeiship), Ann (roocmc), Ashleah (a1dawen), Kim (Napiersknits), Susan (clucks) & Tracy (phoenixfire). ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Pattern was tech edited by the phenomenal Rachel (porpoise) ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Sample was knit by the brilliant Dami (damisdoodles) ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
